Wilds Rent's
Wild’s Rents was a Live/Work Unit in an old bakery and so had many ‘loft apartment’ characteristics for which the SE1 district of London has become well known.
With a floorspace of c1100ft2 there was plenty of opportunity to create a high level apartment of contemporary finish. Set over two floors the upper leaving floor was sufficient to accommodate two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. This left the ground floor to form a large living/dining/kitchen area that made full use of the long front to rear lines and high 4m ceiling height.
The longest side wall became a polished plaster feature wall offering superb reflective qualities that enhanced the feeling of space. The use of glass for entrance way partition, staircase and above breakfast bar assisted with maintaining the expansive feel of the ground floor.
The completed project was sympathetic to the buildings history and left a stunning contemporary modern home.
